Context
Arteria is the brand for a laboratory of creative states: an online platform and community built on one belief, that creativity is a natural human state, not a talent. It runs in two directions that had to live under one identity. The Lab covers programs and research in creativity, intuition, and art-coaching. Art Music Residence covers events, camps, and retreats where people connect through shared creative practice. The founder had a clear philosophy but no brand, and nothing to hold the two sides together. I built the whole identity from scratch: strategy, visual system, and the brandbook that keeps it coherent.

Approach
I started from meaning, not from marks. Arteria doesn’t just teach creativity. It’s a place to experience the creative state and to find your own ‘red thread’: the personal impulse that pulls a life together. That became the core image. Arteria is creative energy moving through a person the way arteries move through the body, with a red thread connecting everyone in the lab. Its audience decides by feeling, not spec sheets, so the brand had to work through intuition: warm, honest, alive. Personality, voice, and the visual system all follow from that, so Arteria reads as a state, not a style.
Design
The hardest call was color. Black, white, and red gave the brand discipline but felt too strict for something about aliveness. So I kept a Bauhaus-clean base and layered an expressive multicolor palette on top. Red leads as the core, the red thread itself, with pink, yellow, and a wider secondary spectrum giving each direction its own voice. Structure meets craft: precise Factor A grotesk on a strict grid, loosened by gradients and hand-drawn touches. The mark is a fluid monogram that reads two ways at once, AR for Arteria and ЛR for the laboratory, with the red thread drawn in a single line beside the ‘лаб.т.с.’ wordmark. I defined the full system, from logo and lockups with clearspace to color, typography, personality, tone of voice, and art direction, packaged into a brandbook the team can build on.
Outcome
Built solo in a month, Arteria went from a philosophy with no brand to a complete one: a strategy that names what it stands for, a visual identity that carries it across both the Lab and the events, and a brandbook that keeps every touchpoint coherent as the project grows.
