Context

LumiStella is an AI Telegram mini-app for tarot readings, made by the product studio Void0. It gives anyone a personal reading in seconds: you ask a question, the cards are drawn, and an AI interprets them for your situation. It also has a daily card, readings for yourself or for someone else, and a follow-up dialogue where you can ask the AI to go deeper on any card. I led the UI/UX and created the visual style: how the product looks and feels, and how every screen behaves.

Approach

Tarot lives on feeling, but most tarot apps look like utilities and sit outside the tools people already use. I wanted LumiStella to feel like real magic while staying effortless right inside a chat. Everything is built around one idea: an ancient practice meeting future technology. That set the direction for the whole product, from the otherworldly art to the calm, one-step-at-a-time flow. Choose a single card or a full spread, ask a question in your own words or leave it open, read the interpretation, then keep the conversation going. Nothing to learn, no clutter, a clear path from question to insight.

Design

The visual style is where the product gets its personality. I set a dark, cosmic world lit by warm pink and peach gradients, bold uppercase type, and a small set of geometric symbols (a four-point star, an eye) that work as the brand’s signature. For the deck, I directed a custom set of tarot cards in a psychedelic, cosmic style, so the illustrations feel collectible rather than generic. Inside Telegram the interface stays clean and mobile-first: big tappable choices, plenty of space, readings that are easy to scan, and voice input for asking out loud. The paid tier (LumiStella Plus) and a bonus subscription for a story review are woven into the flow without breaking the mood.

Outcome

LumiStella is live in Telegram at @LumiStellaBot. It turns a quick tarot pull into something that feels personal and a little magical, while the AI does the heavy lifting of interpretation. For me it was a chance to own the full visual and UX side of an AI consumer product, from style and art direction to the screen-by-screen flow, alongside the Void0 team who built it.
